Paramedic Killed in Laois Collision to be Laid to Rest on Saturday

The Laois paramedic tragically killed in a road collision yesterday will be laid to rest tomorrow.
David Fitzgerald died after his 4x4 vehicle left the Ballyfin to Mountrath road hit a pole and overturned early yesterday morning.
The father of three, originally from Dublin but living in Mountrath for a number of years, was the lead paramedic attached to the Portlaoise ambulance station.
David is survived by his wife Joanne and children Emma, Luke and baby Mia.
His funeral mass takes place at 11am tomorrow in St. Fintan's Church Mountrath followed by burial in St. Fintan's Cemetery Ballyfin.
Spokesperson for the Local Authority Road Safety Officers Declan Keogh says his death is a tragic loss.
