Ukrainian Children "Devastated" At Being Told To Leave Accommodation

The midlands premises had been hoping to extend their contract to allow them to stay longer.

Ukrainian children being housed in an Offaly premises are 'devastated' they will have to leave their accommodation tomorrow.

The Department of Integration has contacted Elm Grove House in Birr, which is home to 41 Beneficiares of Temporary Protection, to inform them the refugees can no longer be accommodated there.

19 residents will be moved to a new location in Banagher tomorrow morning. The 22 remaining have yet to be told of their furture.

Eight children and eight people with disabilites are included in the residents.
