Laois play their first game under lights this evening when they taken on Kildare in a re-fixed National Hurling League game.

This is the third scheduling of the clash, it was firstly postponed because of cold weather and later at the request of Kildare.

It goes ahead at 8 o'clock this evening in Portlaoise.

Laois are looking for their first chance to win having lost to Claire a couple of weeks ago.

Kildare were promoted from Division 3 last year. They take on Westmeath on Saturday while Laois have a difficult trip to Antrim on Saturday.

Westmeath have Waterford firmly in their sights as they prepare for the clash at the weekend in the Bord Gais Energy National Football league.

It's Round 5 of the event.

Westmeath are the home team in the Division 3 game and throw in is at 4 0'clock.

In Division 4, Offaly are away to Kilkenny at 2 o'clock.
