Edenderry Council request a meeting with Matron of Ofalia House.

Edenderry Town Councillors are to seek a meeting with the Matron of Ofalia house after the facility reduced days from 5 to 4.

A clash of opinions between two independent public reps the Cathaorleach Fergus McDonnell and Noel Cribben led to a lenghty debate.

Cllr McDonnell questioned HSE figures which claimed just 3 people used the day care centre on Tuedays prior to it being cut.

He said it was also feared that there'll be further reductions.

Cllr Cribben said he met the Matron and that she's received no complaints. He said from his conversations the HSE statistics are correct.

Fianna Fail's John Foley believes a delegation to the Matron to get the facts is the only way forward
