Advice For Those Bereaved By Suicide On Offer In Offaly Today

The HSE is organising the event.

There's support out there for people who have lost someone to suicide.

That's the message from the HSE ahead of a Suicide Bereavement Support Awareness Evening in Offaly today.

Speakers from PIETA and HUGG will be among those offering advice in the Tullamore Court Hotel from 7pm.

HSE Resource Officer for Suicide Prevention in Laois and Offaly, Josephine Rigney, says they want to make it easier for people to seek this help:

  • Samaritans Ireland's 24 hour helpline can be reached on 116 123

  • Pieta House can be called on 1800 247 247 or text 'HELP' to 51444

  • Text About It's 24 hour text-line can be reached on 50808
