Offaly U20 Hurlers Cruise To Leinster Semi-Final

Adam Screeney led the scoring for the defending provincial champions.

Offaly progressed to the Leinster Under 20 Hurling Championship Semi-Finals with an emphatic 16 point victory over Laois yesterday evening. 

The contest in Tullamore was all but over at half time with the scores at 0-18 to 1-4.

Adam Screeney led the scoring for the Faithful with 15 points, four of which were from play.

Laois raised the green flag twice with goals for Cormac Byrne in both halves, while Dan Bourke hit the back of the net for Offaly.

The final score in O'Connor Park was 1-28 to 2-09.

After the game Offaly manager Leo O'Connor expressed some reservations about the performance of his side to Midlands 103 commentator, Joe Troy:

In the competition's other quarter final, Dublin progressed to the last four with an 0-18 to 0-14 win against Wexford.

Kilkenny now await Offaly while Dublin will line-up against Galway in the other semi-final:
