A strong win over Carlow sees the Lake County progress in the Andrew Corden Cup.

Westmeath booked their place in a Leinster final after their under 20 footballers claimed victory over Carlow last night.

After two losses in the group phase of this year's championship, the Lake County won through to the Andrew Corden Cup final with a 3-9 to 1-10 win over Carlow.

Goals from Ronan Murray, Brian Cooney, and Shane Hanley sent Westmeath into the second tier competition's decider where they'll face Longford.

The final is set for a 7.30 throw in next Tuesday night in Mullingar.
